Journalista client S3 Connected Health helps put emerging Digital Therapeutics sector on the map in Europe
Journalista client, S3 Connected Health is bidding to put the digital therapeutics sector on the map in Europe after becoming a founding European member of prominent industry body the Digital Therapeutics Alliance (DTA).
Dublin-based S3 Connected Health specialises in the design and development of digital therapeutics, primarily focussed on working in partnership with pharma and medtech clients to tackle the challenges posed by patient therapy management and medication non-adherence.
As a European member of the DTA a – global industry non-profit trade body which aims to broaden the understanding, adoption, and integration of clinically-validated digital therapeutics in healthcare – S3 Connected Health will be supporting its work to highlight the benefits of digital therapeutics (DTx).
The DTA launched in the US in 2017 and now supports the work of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and related efforts to drive regulatory, clinical, organizational and financial integration of digital therapeutics into mainstream healthcare. It is hoped that this further expansion of its European footprint will allow the organisation to replicate this success in the complex European health ecosystem.
Jim O’Donoghue, President, S3 Connected Health, said: “Digital therapeutics offer huge potential to dramatically improve patient healthcare outcomes, so we must ensure this opportunity is realised by engaging with industry stakeholders for effective adoption and integration of DTx in mainstream healthcare, clinical and reimbursement pathways.
“This will mean DTx companies can develop interventions that understand the patient context and provide the right treatment for them — in a way that can be personalised, relevant and context-aware.”
