Individuals take their cues from the actions of others around them.
Journalista believes that to create real changes in the way people behave you need to engage the support, cooperation and active participation of communities.
We provide a range of services to engage people in their communities – from training volunteers and facilitating consultation, to providing expert advice and project development. Our aim is to help communities understand different issues, new developments and the consequences for them. Often by making links with existing concerns they may have to find appropriate local solutions.
Speaking about the engagement work we do with multi-faith communities for Faith Matters, its Founder and Director Fiyaz Mughal OBE said:
“Journalista is a young organisation with enormous talent, it ‘gets’ our message around social cohesion and bringing people together. They are able to proactively develop leads and stories and they are an organisation that responds to our needs. We will continue to work with them and maintain a very productive working relationship.”
We work with a wide range of groups including common interest groups (where individuals have a common interest, need or concern), neighbourhood groups ( tenants, rural communities, parish groups, renewal areas), volunteers (groups or individuals) and the general public.
We bring skills and experience in:
