We’ve been blogging a lot about Pinterest here at Journalista HQ. Partly as it’s so addictive but mainly as, for me, it’s the first social media channel that does something entirely different from Facebook.
Like all the best inventions, Pinterest performs a task that I was already doing but does it much, much better. My wallet, Moleskine notebook, handbag pockets and sometimes even jean pockets are stuffed full of pages ripped out of magazines, newspapers and leaflets. They comprise pictures, quotes, websites, products and concepts that I like and want to record and share. My dream house has always been designed with a massive cork board on the study wall to capture these clippings and link them all together. Read more …

Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply for the account manager position at Journalista, we have appointed two freelance journalists with a solid grounding in both consumer and business PR to the position and look forward to them bringing their skills to the team.
Amongst the many applications, one especially stood out. It took me to half way through to recognise it as the handiwork of the very best, most infamous and very first of the Journalistas. A man who combined his extraordinary skills of journalism with a passion to promote causes close to his heart.

Incorporating two centres, the Queen Square Imaging Centre and the Heart Hospital Imaging Centre, QS Imaging is a private health care provider that gifts all profits back to University College London Hospital.
We are working with Queen Square Imaging Centre on a long-term marketing proposal to improve their referral rates within the private sector. We are initially carrying out a detailed piece of market analysis to inform a strategic plan that will lead our approach to improving QS Imaging’s communications with their key-stakeholders.

Sexual Health Website

Sexual Health Poster

NHS Brent Sexual Health Hotwire
We work with NHS Brent to improve the sexual health of people living in their borough.
So far we have produced a mini-site showcasing their local service, an HTML newsletter to increase their engagement with local stakeholders and several posters advertising Chlamydia testing in pharmacies across the borough.
We are now creating a much larger sexual health website for NHS Brent, with information and guidance on sexual violence and support for younger people and professionals, alongside local information on STIs and contraception choices. The site will launch in time for World Aids Day on 1 December 2010.

We are delighted to be appointed by the prestigious neurosurgery, neurology and orthopaedic imaging provider Queen Square Imaging Centre, and the brand new cardiology imaging provider Heart Hospital Imaging Centre, to carry out a detailed piece of market research for them.
We will be using our detailed understanding of the health referral environment to develop their business. This is an extremely unique client as they function entirely as a private healthcare centre, but gift all their profits back to University College Hospital at the end of each year.
